Where it all began

My golf journey started in the summer of 2021 during lockdown and after watching the number 1 golfer on YouTube Rick Shiels, I found myself watching more of his videos on the internet and I got interested in golf very quickly, so I asked my dad if he had some clubs and if we could try hitting a few balls, that spark ignited my passion for the game with my goal now is to play and compete with the best golfers in the world in the PGA one day.

So who is Mark?

I am 13 years old and have been playing golf since the summer of 2021. I enjoy watching golf and going away with my Mum and Dad but most of all I love to play the game. There is nothing better than hitting a superb drive down the middle fairway or putting a long one. With the help of my golf coaches, I hope to be a much better player next year, play in more competitions and lower my handicap.

First Golf Lesson at PGH

Anyone who has swung a golf club will know, it just takes one good shot to make you smile and leave you wanting more.

This is me having my first ever golf lesson, the never-ending quest for the perfect golf swing.

I have progressed so much in my first year, but I have big ambitions for the future and there is no better place to practice than at PGH.
